DENVER Division Laboratory 1511 Washington Ave., Golden, Colorado 80401 The Denver Division of Wyoming Analytical Laboratories in Golden Colorado has been operational since 1997. Prior to running our Denver Division, LeRoy Jacobs owned and operated WAL, Inc. Charles R. Wilson, analytical chemist, has worked with LeRoy, both at WAL, Inc. and now at Wyoming Analytical Labs, Denver Division for over 20 years. The Denver Division provides elemental analysis by X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF) and rf and DC source glow discharge mass spectroscopy (rf-GDMS, DC-GDMS). The Denver Division offers excellent service, analysis, and turn-around-times. X-ray fluorescence spectrometry XRF is the main business of the Denver Division. XRF uses a beam of X-rays to interact with substances causing a re-fluorescence X-ray beam from the atoms contained in the sample, which is characteristic of the atoms contained in the sample. The re-fluorescence beam can be attenuated and quantitated through the use of diffraction crystals and X-ray detectors. The rf-source GDMS can give trace element analysis of virtually any solid without dissolution of the sample, from percent concentrations to a detection limit of about 20 ppb for most elements in the periodic table. rf-source is used for conducting samples, such as high purity metals and semi-conductors. The DC-source GDMS examines non-conducting samples, for elemental composition. Contact us for
